Beschreibung
Jet fragmentation allows us to explore the evolution process of the QCD jets. It can be studied using the transverse momentum ($j_\mathrm{T}$) and longitudinal momentum fraction ($z$) of constituent particles. The $j_\mathrm{T}$ distributions of jet fragments have been measured in pp and p—Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s}$, $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV with ALICE, and various parton-shower models reasonably describe the pp results. In this analysis, we extend the analysis to more detailed measurements of $j_\mathrm{T}$ distributions for charged-particle jets in pp collisions, in several $z$ ranges. The $z$-dependent $j\mathrm{T}$ distributions will be compared with the theoretical predictions to test our current understanding of jet fragmentation and hadronisation.
