Call for Papers
The European Society of Psychology Learning and Teaching (ESPLAT) is a European academic organisation whose aim is to advance the learning and teaching of psychology at all educational levels, and to provide a forum to engage researchers and teachers of psychology in communication and exchange.
In times we face complex global challenges and increasing science denial, critical, sophisticated scientific thinking is a key competence. The teaching of psychology can foster scientific thinking in all domains in which human learning, decision making, judgement, the development and change of attitudes and beliefs are crucial. Equally, teaching students to think critically about psychological contents, research, and methods promotes the development of psychology as a science.
The ESPLAT conference is a forum for the exchange of research on the teaching of psychology, best practices and teaching innovations. ESPLAT emphasises an international perspective on how psychology is taught in different academic contexts, in different countries and under different cultural conditions, as these insights can enrich psychology as a whole.
We invite contributions on all topics related to learning and teaching psychology in the form of
- individual oral presentations or posters
- symposia
- discussion sessions.
Abstracts can be submitted from 1 November 2024 to 15 February 2025. For more information, see the conference website
