Artificial Decision-Making challenges human-centered legal concepts. Our interdisciplinary workshop explores the foundations and limits of law's anthropocentric orientation.

The DFG Research Unit 5906 "Legal and Social Consequences of Machine Decision-Making" is inviting the participants to engage through lectures and discussions with questions of legal personhood, AI ethics, private law, transparency in legal systems, and understandings of the human.

By placing legal scholarship in dialogue with neighboring disciplines, this workshop provides a forum for interdisciplinary exchange and critical reflection on one of the most pressing conceptual challenges facing legal scholarship today.

The workshop takes place from 23rd to 24th April 2027 in Münster.
