For Participants: Hiking Day for the MEET Team

Dear colleagues,

Thank you very much for your interest in our hiking day and for the positive feedback we have received so far. Below you will find some information about the schedule on June 12:

1. Starting point (Coesfeld):
   The hike begins at the market place in Coesfeld, where we will start at around 10:15 am. Coesfeld can be reached directly by train from Münster Central Station (departure at 09:08, platform 2E, boarding also possible in Mecklenbeck and Roxel); arrival at Coesfeld-Schulzentrum at 09:49 or Coesfeld (Westf.) at 09:52. From both stops, it is about a 10-minute walk to the market place. Free parking is available at both train stations.
   Alternatively, bus R63 departs from Münster - Coesfelder Kreuz at 08:54 and arrives in Coesfeld at Lambertikirche (right at the starting point) at 09:47.
   
   
2. Lunch (Gerleve Abbey):
   The distance to this point is about 7 km; lunch is planned for 12:00. In coordination with the kitchen staff, a small selection of dishes will be available. Please make your choice by Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
   In principle, it is also possible to return to Münster from there by bus R63 (bus stop on the main road, approx. 800 m away) if the distance is too long for anyone. Parking is available at the abbey.
   
   
3. Destination (Billerbeck):
   Return by train from Billerbeck is possible every hour; in the afternoon, trains run every 30 minutes at times. Free parking is also available here.
