We are proud to announce our Banned Books Week activities - coordinated by the Banned Books Network Münster at the University of Münster under the co-direction of Prof. Dr. Corinna Norrick-Rühl and Prof. Dr. Silvia Schultermandl.
What is Banned Books Week? Since 1982, Banned Books Week has been running once a year to raise awareness of book banning and to celebrate the freedom to read. More information on the history of Banned Books Week can be found here: https://bannedbooksweek.org/
How can I join in? We are working together here in Münster and with partners in Trier to offer a range of onsite and digital/hybrid activities for you to partcipate in! Join us for an online talk, a silent reading event, come look at an exhibit, talk to us! Or come visit us at Frankfurt Book Fair, where we are running an event on Saturday, October 10, 2026 - right in the heart of the global book industry.
