The time is ripe for a new wave of crosstalk between animal and human personality research, acknowledging and reuniting parallel and potentially complementary disciplinary developments. The EAPP Focus Meeting aims to facilitate a novel interdisciplinary cross-species approach towards achieving a unified understanding of personality.
The intended outcomes include:
(1) an overview of human and nonhuman personality taxonomies,
(2) an integrative framework of the features, sources, and outcomes of personality, and
(3) a shared methodological personality toolbox regarding suitable research designs, multimodal assessments, mathematical models, and statistical analyses.
