Travel
Muenster can be reached by plane (airport Muenster/Osnabrueck), via connections from Frankfurt and Muenchen. Also by direct fast trains (ICE) from Frankfurt Airport (about 3 h) and by local trains from Duesseldorf and Dortmund Airports.
History
Muenster has a long history, dating back to the 8th century CE and was, together with the city of Osnabrueck, the place where the Peace of Westphalia was signed in 1648, which ended the 3o years war. See Wikipedia article.
