In order to be able to use the public transport, we recommend you to buy the 9€ ticket in August. With this ticket you can use the regional trains and the public transport in the cities all over Germany from the beginning to the end of August, including Münster.
- To get to the MPI from the city center, you can take the city buses 5, 11 and 22 to the Schreiberstraße stop.
- The city buses 2 and 13 go to the stop Wilhelm-Klemm-Straße.
- Alternatively, the MPI can be reached on foot from the P+R Coesfelder Kreuz stop at the Mensa am Ring or the Hautklinik stop.
However, as you will quickly notice in Münster, most people use bicycles. If you also like to travel by bike, you can also rent a bike directly at the main train station at the "Radstation".
Getting to and from Münster
Münster is easily accessible by local and long-distance trains. If you are coming from further away, you can fly to the airport Münster/Osnabrück and take the bus from there to the main station.
Alternatively, you can compare other airports that have good long-distance transport connections to Münster and may have cheaper flight offers.
Accomodation:
Each team has to book accomodations on their own. We recommend searching for different hostels/hotels as soon as possible! Due to holiday season, the accomodations are rare.
