 tudent-led event organised as part of the Study India Certificate at the E
 nglish Department\, University of Münster. It aims to move beyond the ide
 a of “India” as a fixed object of study\, approaching it instead throu
 gh a hermeneutic circle in which the frameworks of study shape what become
 s legible. What enters the curriculum\, whose histories become legible\, w
 hich forms of storytelling count as scholarship\, and what happens beyond 
 the boundaries of print all shape the ways India can be encountered. The w
 orkshop brings together students and scholars working across the humanitie
 s\, with contributions ranging from Indian-language literature in the glob
 al Anglophone book market\, digital memorials and diasporic Hindu mourning
  and Speculative fiction in the Global South. Talks will lead into discuss
 ion and a roundtable on studying India now. The day will also launch a new
  student-led Study India Book Club\, which we hope will carry these conver
