Japanese Bookbinding: Session 1

AE
Ever wanted to make a book with your own hands? In this session you'll learn the four-hole binding technique, a traditional Japanese method that's been used for centuries to create beautifully stitched books. It looks impressive, but it's genuinely something anyone can pick up in an afternoon.
We'll walk through the whole process together: folding and preparing your pages, piercing the spine, and stitching it all into a finished notebook you get to keep. It's a great way to slow down, learn something completely new, and end the evening with something you actually made.
No experience needed. All materials will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring something small to decorate your cover page like a photograph, or pressed leaf/flowers or piece of fabric, anything. As long as it can be layered onto the cover page.
