How to: Take Care of Your Health as an International Researcher in Germany (5:00 pm - 7:00 pm)

Do you already have a general practitioner and a dentist in Münster? Which medical treatments are covered by your health insurance, and which costs do you need to pay yourself? Is your family insured as well? And which programmes are available to support your health and well-being?

Germany’s healthcare and health insurance system can seem complex at first, especially for international researchers who are new to the country. Hosted by the Researchers & Staff Department (International Office) in cooperation with TK Health Insurance, this workshop will guide you through the essentials of the German healthcare system. You will learn how to make the most of your health insurance, access medical care in Münster, and understand the benefits and services will focus to you and your family. A specific part, offered by a coach, focusses on maintaining your mental wellbeing and managing stress while building your academic career in Germany. The participation is free of charge.
