DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Lenka Fiala\, Lukas Röseler\, Oliver Kamps\, Katrin
Schmietendorf (Center for Data Science and Complexity\, University of Mü
nster)\, Bernd Schlipphak\n\nJoin us for the second Münster Reproduction
Games – a one-day event dedicated to reproducing and replicating papers
from top-tier academic journals. \nIt is run by the Institute for Replic
ation\, Center for Data Science and Complexity\, Service Center for Digit
al Humanities\, Münster Center for Open Science\, Institute for Politica
l Science\, and the Replication Journal Federation. \nWhat is this about
?\nReplication is an essential part of the scientific process\, as it veri
fies the robustness and generalizability of published findings. By partici
pating\, you will not only help strengthen research integrity but also ex
pand your network and sharpen your coding and research skills. Participant
s will write reports that they can then submit to one of multiple innovati
 ve\, scholarly-led open access journals.\nWhy Attend?\n•       Joi
 n a team of 3-5 researchers and reproduce/replicate a published study. You
will be matched based on research interests and a study will be assigned
to your team. Graduate students will work closely with more experienced re
searchers\, ensuring that everyone benefits from shared expertise.\n•
Connect with fellow researchers from the University of Münster
and beyond.\n•       Refine your coding skills and data managemen
 t techniques.\n•       With participants’ permission\, completed
reproductions/replications will be published on the MüCOS Zenodo Communi
ty. Participants will author reproducibility reports that they can submit
to one of multiple high-quality replication journals. Depending on the top
ic\, participants may also become co-authors on a meta-paper that summariz
es replications for specific topics.\nWhich research disciplines and topic
s will be represented?\nThis year\, participants will reproduce or replica
te studies from the following disciplines:\n\nDigital Humanities\nPhysics:
Machine Learning for Nonlinear Dynamics\nPolitical Science\nPsychology*\n
 Early life interventions*\nTropical diseases*\n\n*meta-paper opportunity\n
Ready to Join? Please sign up using the registration function on this websi
te until 28 August\, 2026. There will be an online pre-games meeting for p
articipants to meet their team members and select their target studies on
