Book Studio Workshop: Textures of the City

In this workshop, we will explore a new way of encountering our surroundings. Frottage, an artistic technique employed widely by kindergarten classes and renowned artists alike, uses paper and crayons to create tracings of underlying textures. Together, we will learn about the history of this practice and create our own original pieces using found textures around the English Department.
