This workshop is designed for PhD students and advanced MA students who want to gain practical insight into academic conferences. Topics include writing abstracts, preparing presentations, and choosing the right venues.
The workshop will be conducted in English, with sample abstracts provided in both English and German. Participants who are currently drafting abstracts (in English or German) are welcome to bring them for discussion and feedback.
More of a discussion than a presentation, and less formal than a traditional event, the workshop aims to demystify conferences in all their stages by allowing participants to share experiences, questions, and strategies. Together, we will look at successful abstracts, explore common pitfalls, and work through participants’ own drafts when available.
Further organizational details will be shared after registration.
