The art of marbling paper goes back to 12th century China and Japan, becoming a part of illuminated manuscripts in 15th century Turkey. In the 19th century, marbled paper was a common way to decorate endpapers and covers of both mass-produced and handcrafted books.

Participants of this workshop will learn about paper marbling techniques and have the chance to create their own marbled papers.

This workshop is restricted to current students at the English Department. A university email address must be used to register.
