Das International Office schreibt im Rahmen des DAAD-Programms STIBET I zweimal im Jahr Studienabschluss-Stipendien aus Mitteln des Auswärtigen Amtes aus. Das Studienabschluss-Stipendium ist ein Kurzzeit-Stipendium für internationale Studierende der Universität Münster, die sich kurz vor Ende ihres Fachstudiums (nicht Sprachkurs, Austauschstudium, Teilzeitstudium, Weiterbildungsstudiengänge, Zertifikatstudiengänge oder Promotion) in einer finanziell schwierigen Situation befinden.
Die Ausschreibungsfrist läuft vom 01. Juli bis 15. August 2025.
Wer kann das Stipendium erhalten?
Bildungsausländer*innen, die nicht die deutsche Staatsangehörigkeit besitzen, an der Universität Münster immatrikuliert sind und innerhalb eines Jahres ihr Studium abschließen werden. Der monatliche Verdienst während des Förderzeitraums darf bei maximal 1.290 € brutto liegen.
Was sind die Auswahlkriterien?
- Finanzielle Bedürftigkeit, die nicht selbst verschuldet ist
- Gute Studienleistungen
- Der Abschluss des Studiums muss innerhalb der nächsten 12 Monate ab Förderbeginn möglich sein
Was beinhaltet das Stipendium?
Die Höhe des Stipendiums hängt von den jeweils zur Verfügung stehenden Mitteln und Ihrer individuellen Situation ab. Sie können in der Regel 1-4 Monate lang eine finanzielle Unterstützung von bis zu 500 € erhalten.
Welche Unterlagen müssen Sie einreichen?
- Bescheinigung vom Prüfungsamt (bitte herunterladen und vom Prüfungsamt ausfüllen lassen)
- Aktuelle Noten- bzw. Leistungsübersicht (ausgestellt auf Deutsch oder Englisch) mit Angabe der Anzahl der erworbenen Leistungspunkte sowie der aktuellen Durchschnittsnote (bitte beachten Sie, dass Sie die Übersicht rechtzeitig beim Prüfungsamt beantragen müssen, da die Ausstellung einige Zeit in Anspruch nehmen kann)
- Finanzielle Selbstauskunft
- Motivationsschreiben
- Semesterbescheinigung vom Wintersemester 2025/26
- Kopie des Aufenthaltstitels, beide Seiten (bei EU-Bürgern: Kopie des Personalausweises/Reisepasses)
- Lebenslauf
- Wenn Sie bereits Stipendien von anderen Stellen erhalten haben: Nachweise darüber (Stipendienbescheid, etc.)
- Falls vorhanden: BAföG-Bescheid

Wie ist der weitere Ablauf?
- Füllen Sie das Online-Bewerbungsformular bis spätestens 15. August 2025 aus und laden Sie alle oben genannten Unterlagen hoch.
- Die Auswahlkommission prüft Ihre Bewerbung.
- Voraussichtlich bis zum 15. September 2025 werden Sie über die Auswahl informiert.

Description of the programme
As part of the DAAD STIBET I programme, the International Office advertises degree scholarships funded by the Federal Foreign Office twice a year. The Graduation Scholarship is a short-term scholarship for international students of the University of Münster who find themselves in a financially difficult situation shortly before the end of their studies (not included are: language courses, exchange programmes, part-time programmes, certification courses, continuing education programmes and doctoral studies).
The current call for applications is open from 1 July to 15 September 2025.
Who can receive the scholarship?
Foreign‐educated students (students who have obtained their university entrance qualification outside of Germany) and who do not have German citizenship, are matriculated at the University of Münster and will complete their studies within one year. Monthly earnings during the funding period must not exceed €1,290 brutto.
What are the selection criteria?
- Financial need that is not self-inflicted
- Good academic performance
- Completion of studies must be possible within the next 12 months from the start of funding
What does the scholarship include?
The amount of the scholarship depends on the funds available and your individual situation. As a rule, you can receive financial support of up to € 500 for 1-4 months.
What documents do you have to submit?
- Certificate from the Examinations Office (please download the form and have it completed by the Examinations Office)
- Current overview of grades and achievements (issued in German or English) stating the number of credit points earned and the current average grade (please note that you must apply for the overview in time at the Examinations Office, as it may take some time to issue)
- Financial self-declaration ("Finanzielle Selbstauskunft")
- Letter of motivation
- Certificate of enrolment for the winter term 2025/26
- Copy of residence permit, both sides (for EU citizens: copy of identity card/passport)
- Curriculum vitae
- If you have already received scholarships from other organisations: Notification thereof (e.g. scholarship award letter,…)
- If available: BAföG notification

Copy of your secondary school leaving certificate
- Final declaration (“Abschließende Erklärung”)
What is the further procedure?
- Complete the online application form by 15 August 2025 at the latest and upload all the documents listed above.
- The selection committee will review your application.
- You will most likely be informed about the selection by 15 September 2025.
