Beschreibung

The successful replication of previously published finding is the foundation for science. Yet, replications rarely make it into the scientific record, methods are underdeveloped, and high-quality journals for replications are rare.

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to reproductions (i.e., re-testing published findings using the same data) and replications (i.e., re-testing published findings using different data) and current standards from the fields of psychology, political sciences, neuroscience, marketing, and economics*. Participants are expected to have identified a set of potentially relevant studies from their field that will form the basis for tasks carried out during this workshop. After the workshop, they will know about the basics of replication research and be empowered to carry out a replication or reproduction study that adheres to their field's standards.

This workshop is organized by FORRT and the Münster Center for Open Science. Replication studies that adhere to the guidelines taught in this workshop are eligible for submission the Diamond Open Access Journal Replication Research.
