Content

The workshop will focus on central aspects of research data management. After a general introduction, practical examples will be given to provide some best practices for the participants' own scientific work, like publishing or archival of research data. Moreover, there will be time for discussions and a broad Q&A session. In particular, the following topics will be covered:

1. Research data organization: Keeping the track!
2. Storage, archiving and publishing of research data
3. Dealing with data management plans
4. Research data services at WWU Münster

Outcomes

  • Become familiar with FAIR principles and the data lifecycle
  • Learn how to set up data management plans
  • Get to know possible ways for publication and preservation of research data
  • Understand how to use metadata and norm data in daily scientific work
  • Get an overview about RDM services at the University of Münster
